HANJI TREE

Beginning Class - 6 Weeks (once a week, 2 hrs)

Description: Learn the basics of Hanji and make 5 Hanji Crafts (Folding fan, hand mirror, tissue box, frame and small tray)

Intermediate Class - 6 Weeks (once a week, 2 hrs)

Description: Learn how to assemble cardboard pieces, draw and cut out patterns, dye Hanji and make 4 intermediate Hanji Crafts (Wireless Hanji lantern, tea box, eyeglass box and small lamp)

Advanced Class - 5 Weeks (once a week, 2 hrs)

​

Description: Make larger Hanji Crafts by using all the techniques students learned in the beginning and intermediate classes (Korean traditional drawer, vanish box, jewelry box or contemporary lamp)

Kids will work on new craft projects with a variety of creative materials - oriental paper lanterns, folding fans, clays, mirrors, design napkins, cardboard, wood glue, potato starch glue, and Korean traditional Hanji paper. Students can develop their creativity and imagination while play-based learning in class.
